Welcome to my "choose your own adventure" research site! This is an interactive, digital experience of the v i c i s s i t u d e s installation I am conceptualizing. In the following text and subsequent pages you will be given prompts and choices allowing you to navigate the digital space as you would the corporeal.
To begin: you are standing outside a large building, on a vast concrete walkway, there are many people hustling about around you. The air is cool, the sun is setting. Vendors line the streets behind you, selling merch for various concerts and sports teams, hot dogs, coffee, water, teriyaki, gyros, shaved ice and more. You may have chosen to bring a friend or perhaps you are flying solo this evening. You join the line to enter the Armory. Security waves a metal detector wand over you briefly and you enter the space.
It is much darker inside than out. You walk into a lobby, the tone is cool, there are soft blue lights radiating from the floor up the walls. People chat softly. As you look around you see three options:
A room to your right, obscured by a large curtain, you can faintly hear rhythmic music, you walk in
There appears to be a booklet that other patrons are reading, read it?
There is a long hallway ahead of you, you walk towards it
